There's a glaring arithmetical error here. If as stated the radius was nearly twice its current size then since the volume of a sphere goes as the cube of the radius if the radius was double the volume would be 8 times greater! The quote about being large enough to hold more than 2,000 Earths rather than the present day 1,321 Earths suggest that the writer meant to say that the volume was almost twice its current size, not the radius!!
